Awhile back my Parents asked if they could take Jace and Jene to the circus. They took Jurnee and Janson by themselves when they were young, and wanted Jace and Jene to be able to have a turn. They took me, as well, cause taking two young kids at their age is not exactly easy.
We went Saturday morning. The show was at 11! The kids did not have any idea until we got there. Jene has never been and Jace has only been when he was about 1! They were so excited. Of course, Grandma and Grandpa spoiled them with lots of treats (popcorn, m&ms, sprite, lollipops, snow cones, cotton candy & toys).

Jace was not sure what to expect. He is a little sensitive and got a little nervous in the big crowd, and when the announcer came on and said there would be 'periods when all the lights would be out'. Jace started to cry because he thought it was going to be pitch black. What the announcer failed to mention was that there would be at least one spotlight on in the arena. Anyhow, he was fine, and loved the circus. He thought the clowns were really funny, and he thinks he wants to be a clown for Halloween now! He thought it was pretty cool. He loved the motorcycle cage! They put 7 motorcycles in this cage at one time! It was amazing!

Jene loved all the treats, did a lot of musical chairs/laps, and loved all the parts of the circus that had to deal with ponies/horses/ or ELEPHANTS! She loved loved loved the elephants and horses. She would sit up and clap her hands and get so excited to see them come in. She would even clap and say, "Yay" everytime they would do something or finish their act. IT was super cute. Now, if only they kept an elephant or horse on the floor the whole time, she would have WATCHED the whole thing. She wasn't to into the funny acts, cool stunt performers, trapeze artists, dancers, etc... what she was into was going PEE at least 5 times during the circus! That was a lot of fun.. let me tell you....

We walked over to the triad center afterwards because Jene and Jace wanted to see the water fountains. At least this helped us miss all the traffic, or most of it anyways. We ended the fun afternoon at Olive Garden for lunch. It was a nice lunch and a great way to counteract all the SWEETS we ate.
The kids are still talking about it and carrying around their lighted toys. They have had to have all their juice out of their clown cups! And they keep looking at the book saying, "he was funny", "I saw that", "that was cool", "Elephants". Great memories for them, and what better memories than with Grandma and Grandpa!
Thanks Mom & Dad for the Great Day and Afternoon! The kids and I had a lot of fun..and really appreciate it a lot!!

I absolutely love the circus! I'm so sad we missed it this year, but I didn't even know it was in town! Glad you had fun, how could you not?
